January 2026 – ECCEDU

So… how did 2026 kick off?
With a bang!

Last week in Madrid, I was working with ECCEDU – the European Centre for Career Education – delivering high-energy workshops to two incredible groups of future professionals. One group: business students from Buenos Aires, working in Spanish. The other: an international mix from the UK, Ghana, Ukraine, Myanmar, Morocco and El Salvador – in English.

Different cultures. Different languages. One universal challenge: how to sell, without selling out.

We broke away from the tired stereotypes: the pushy door-knocker, the hovering shop assistant, the kind of selling that *talks at* people instead of *listening to* them. Because real value isn’t created by thrusting a product into someone’s face… it’s built by understanding who they are, what they care about, and what they truly need.

So instead, we trained the participants to think like expert consultants and trusted partners. Professionals who elevate the value of themselves, the brand, the offer, the price – and consequently, the relationship.

And then, after a strong dose of delicious coffee, we turned up the intensity!

A deep dive into Challenger selling. This is the bold, insight-driven approach that makes customers stop, think, and say: *Why has nobody ever explained it to me like this before?*

Because before you sell the solution, you have to sell the problem.
Before the painkiller, you sell the headache.
And only then do you earn the right to present *your* differentiated and branded answer.

It’s challenging. It’s demanding. It’s an emotional rollercoaster.
And when done right, it’s incredibly effective.

The participants? Absolutely outstanding.
The experience? Energising!
And if they walked away with tools that genuinely change how they sell, then that’s the real win.

Many thanks to Milada, Ana Clara and Tomas at ECCEDU for this collaboration.

We can do this with your people too. Let’s train up your sales team so they’re the sharpest and best motivated in the market. Just imagine how much more they’ll sell this campaign. Contact me and let’s talk about how.
